In the Final Paper, according to the Strategic Alliances in Retail Trade and Agribusiness, the market position of small retailers in the retail trade as well as small business entities in agribusiness and their competitive position was investigated. The opportunities, advantages and disadvantages of their mergers are considered to strengthen their position on the market. In order to reach relevant conclusions, the paper first gives a cross-section of strategic management and strategic alliances. Namely, strategic alliances, in today's free market conditions, are increasingly becoming imperative to developing business entities through various forms of cooperation and resource exchange, replenishing their own weaknesses and developing competitive advantages, in order to achieve better business results and survival on the market. In particular, the position of small craft traders who make up the majority of retail business entities that are not adequately monitored and their share in the realized turnover are particularly noticed. Strategic alliances are one of their survival options in the market. Similar situation exists and small OPGs in agribusiness where merging into co-operatives or the formation of producer organizations is an acceptable solution, especially with regard to the possibility of obtaining aid.
