Abstract
Ekološka poljoprivreda je sustav koji se oslanja na prirodne resurse tla, biljaka, životinja i krajobraza pri čemu se nastoji postići etički prihvatljiva, socijalno pravedna i gospodarski isplativa proizvodnja. Statistički podaci pokazuju da se ovakvom poljoprivredom bavi 1,4 milijuna proizvođača u 160 zemalja svijeta. Udio površina pod ekološkim uzgojem i broj ekoloških gospodarstava i dalje kontinuirano rastu. Proizvod se smatra ekološkim samo ako ima certifikat kojim se potvrđuje da je proizvodni proces proveden i kontroliran u skladu s propisima o ekološkoj poljoprivredi.
Abstract (english)
Organic agriculture is a system which relies on the natural resources of soil, plants, animals and landscape by striving to accomplish ethicly acceptable, socialy righteous and economicly worthy production. Statistical data show that there are 1,4 million producers from 160 countries that engage in organic agriculture. The numbers of ecological farms and share of organic in total agricultural surfaces are constantly increasing. The product is considered environmentaly, only with a certificate which validates that productioning process is conducted and controled with the regulations of organic agriculture.
