Abstract
Šećerne repa je dvogodišnja biljka. U prvoj godini vegetacije razvijaju se lišće i korijen, a u drugoj stabljika, cvijet i plod. Šećerna repa se uzgaja zbog korijena koji sadrži saharozu. Njegovom preradom dobiva se konzumni šećer i niz vrijednih nusproizvoda. S obzirom na sadržaj šećera razlikuju se tri tipa šećerne repe: prinosni, šećernati i normalni. Ova kultura za rast i razvoj treba određene agroekološke uvjete, ali i složenu tehnologiju proizvodnje. Pravilnim i pravovremeno obavljenim agrotehničkim operacijama u našim uvjetima mogu se ostvariti visoki prinosi. Vrijeme vađenja šećerne ovisi o sorti odnosno hibridu te o vremenu sjetve. Najpogodniji trenutak vađenja određuju stručnjaci koji provjeravaju zrelost i sadržaj šećera. Strojevi za vađenje šećerne repe trebaju biti ispravni i pravilno podešeni kako bi se smanjila oštećenja šećerne repe pri vađenju i izbjegla veća količina nečistoća.
Abstract (english)
Sugar beet is a biennial plant, in the first year of vegetation it develops leaves and root, and in the second year it grows the stem, flower and fruit. Sugar beet is grown for root containing saccharose .Processing saccharose we get the sugar for consumption, and a number of valuable by-products . Due to the sugar content there are three different types of sugar beet : contributory , “sugary” and normal . This agriculture for growth and development needs specific agro-ecological conditions , but also a complex manufacturing technology . Proper and timely conducted agro-technical operations in our conditions can achieve high profits . Time of harvest for sugar beet depends on the variety or hybrid , and the time of sowing . The best time for extraction is determined by experts which check the maturity and sugar content. Machinery for the extraction of sugar beet should be correct working and properly adjusted to minimize the damage to sugar beet during the extraction and avoid a greater amount of impurities.
