Abstract
U ovom radu navedena je podjela i specifičnosti površinske toplinske obrade. Kratko su opisani postupci površinskog kaljenja alatnih čelika; plamenim ugrijavanjem, indukcijskim ugrijavanjem, djelomičnim uranjanjem, laserskim snopom, elektronskim snopom i impulsno. Navedena su glavna obilježja pojedinih postupaka, metode, prednosti i nedostaci, materijali prikladni za pojedine postupke površinskog kaljenja i primjeri primjene. Cilj ovih postupaka je povišenje površinske tvrdoće i otpornosti na trošenje, kao i dinamičke izdržljivosti i žilavosti alatnih čelika radi produljenja vijeka trajanja alata. Zbog široke primjene alatnih čelika nužno je naglasiti njihove konačne karakteristike nakon provođenja pojedinih postupaka čime se razlikuje i njihova primjena kao i konačna cijena postupka.
Abstract (english)
This paper describes the division and specificities of surface heat treatment. Surface hardening processes of tool steels are briefly described; flame hardening, induction hardening, differential immersion hardening, laser beam hardening, electron beam hardening and impulse hardening. The main features of particular processes, methods, advantages and disadvantages, materials suitable for particular surface hardening processes and examples of application are listed. The purpose of these processes is to increase the surface hardness and wear resistance, as well as the dynamic durability and toughness of tool steels to extend tool life. Due to the widespread use of tool steels, it is necessary to emphasize their final characteristics after applying certain process, what makes their application different as well as the final cost of certain process.
