Abstract
Pesticidi su neizostavni dio konvencionalne poljoprivredne proizvodnje jer imaju važnu ulogu u smanjivanju gubitaka nastalih djelovanjem štetnih organizama. Istovremeno, oni imaju širok spektar opasnih svojstava za okoliš, neciljane organizme i čovjeka. Čist i zdrav okoliš temelj je očuvanja zdravlja ljudi i cjelokupnog života na Zemlji. Tlo, voda i zrak mogu biti onečišćeni prilikom primjene sredstava za zaštitu bilja. Također, neciljani organizmi mogu biti izloženi izravnom djelovanju pesticida, ali i njihovim ostatcima u hrani i vodi. Stoga se na ambalaži pesticida nalaze piktogrami koji označavaju vrstu opasnosti te oznake koje propisuju mjere za smanjenje rizika od izloženosti njihovom štetnom djelovanju. Zbog zaštite zdravlja potrošača svake godine provodi se monitoring ostataka pesticida u hrani. Svaka izloženost pesticidu ne znači nužno opasnost od otrovanja. Rizik po ljudsko zdravlje i okoliš ovise o njegovoj pravilnoj primjeni. Kako bi se to postiglo nužna je edukacija svih sudionika u procesu proizvodnje hrane, njenom skladištenju i transportu do krajnjih potrošača.
Abstract (english)
Pesticides are an indispensable part of conventional agriculture manufacture because they play an important role in reducing the losses incurred by harmful organisms. At the same time, pesticides have vast spectrum of dangerous properties for the environment, non-target organisms and humans. A clean and healthy environment is the foundation of the preservation of human health and all life on Earth. The soil, air or water can be exposed to the pollution by the usage of resources for plant protection. Also, non-target organisms can be exposed to direct action of pesticides and their remains in food and water. Therefore, packaging of pesticides contain pictograms that indicate the type of danger and include marks of prescribed measures to reduce the risk of exposure to their harmful effects. To protect the health of consumers each year carried out monitoring of pesticide residues in food.
