Abstract
Alergije predstavljaju prekomjernu reakciju obrambenog sustava ljudskog organizma na inače bezopasne tvari iz okoliša. Procijenjeno je da svaka treća osoba boluje od nekog oblika alergije, a njihov broj je i dalje u porastu. Najučestalije su alergija na pelud, astma, cijelogodišnji rinitis, atopijski dermatitis, alergija na hranu, otrove insekata, lijekove, sunce i razne profesionalne alergije. Pelud nekih anemofilnih biljaka uzrokuje sezonsku polinozu odnosno peludnu hunjavicu. Simptomi peludne hunjavice mogu biti neugodni i dugotrajni, a u posljednje vrijeme sve više ih uzrokuje pelud ambrozije. Kako bi se osobama s alergijskim reakcijama na pelud osigurala bolja kvaliteta života, provodi se monitoring, izrađuju peludni kalendari i objavljuju peludne prognoze.
Abstract (english)
Allergies are presenting over-reaction of the defense system of the human body to usually harmless substances from the environment. It is estimated that every third person is suffering from some form of allergy and their number is still increasing. The most often allergies are to pollen, asthma, year-round rhinitis, atopic dermatitis, food allergies, insect venom, drugs, sun and a variety of professional allergies. The pollen of some anemophilic plants causes seasonal pollinosis or hay fever. Symptoms of hay fever can be uncomfortable and in longer time period, and lately more and more of them causes ragweed. To people with allergic reactions to pollen ensure a better quality of life, monitoring has taken place, produced pollen calendars and publish the pollen forecasts.
